Faunsdale, AL | I would crack the corn, even fine grind it is OK for better feed efficiency if that is what you have available. Whole oats work good for calf starter and gives it some texture but not hard eating like whole shell corn on a baby. They 'll usually leave the oats for a few days and only eat the ground corn, but pretty soon, they'll clean it up. Add enough molasses to keep if from being dusty but not make it cake up on you. Balance protein to 18% with your all natural protein pellet with minerals and Bovatec. Should get great performance out of it | |
