If it was real small it could be from being constipated but most times this will happen in a calf that is not getting much milk. Most times you see it in a calf you are feeding so are you creep feeding this calf? If so is he getting too much and if this is the problem he will be a problem from here on. I had one do that once and I had to keep it on a high fiber diet and when it got much protein it would prolapse. It finally prolapsed on a real cold day and I had to take it and have it killed. It weighed about 550.
