Sandy Hook, MB

Hello Tc806

Yes, going to give it another go of going from calf to slaughter. I had decided a while back to keep less cows & add as much weight to the calves that I do have. There is suppose to be another local slaughter plant opening up this spring or summer in MB, so I'm hoping that 1 more bidder wanting to supply it's plant with fats will help the local prices. Yes, these are mixed. Yes, there is some riding. Easy way to tell with my cattle: steers left ear, heifers right ear. It makes it a lot easier for sorting when they're coming down the alley. This way I don't have to see their bellies or under their tails, by that time it's too late as they've gone past me.

Addition: I've got a pile of barley/alsike clover & corn silage & I still have a pile of tough barley sitting on the ground that nobody wants to buy, might as well feed it to the cattle & turn it into lbs. of beef that I can sell (hopefully).

Reason for edit: Addition.
