Subject: Re: County trustee fees

No township officials get paid here. I am one of 3 supervisors. We meet once per year and as a board of equalization if necessary. Any valuation appeals are forwarded to the county for a decision.

We try to keep taxes low and put every available $ we get into gravel for our roads. We also have paid for dirt work and culvert replacement. We don't do snow removal.

We don't own any equipment but can hire the county at the county's discretion at a very reasonable price. We can also hire any private contractor we choose.

We can buy gravel and culverts at the county bid price. Township replaced the culvert in front of my house last year. I hauled the culvert from the county shop with my pickup and trailer at no charge. Township paid local backhoe guy to do the work.
