Sold a lot of 3-18-18 at 5 gpa in 7.5 inch rows. Rarely in the trench on the seed, we alway recommended to dribbled it behind the closing wheel, for seed safety. See the best results on lower fertility clay soils. Be careful with rates, you will need to specify row width to get accurate rates. 30 inch rows at 3 gpa is a lot more salt per ft of row than 7 gal on 7.5 inch rows.
