Middlesex County, Ontario		You just used the BEDMAS rule. You divided before you added. Thats all this is.

6+1/2+1/2=7, you naturally recognized this as 6+0.5+0.5=7, you automatically did the division before the addition.



Otherwise shouldn't it be
Shouldn't it be 6+1=7

/2=3.5

+1=4.5

/2=2.25 ?
