Don
We still have the track machines. We no longer do any business with Exactrix/Guy Swanson. We felt like there were some major differences in the capabilities of some of their other (not the track carriers that we at SPH Farm designed) recently released equipment compared to the advertised ability. The track carriers work great, however they no longer have the Yielder name on the side due to more disagreement with Guy Swanson and I about forming a partnership to build and market them with us as the investors and him as the marketer/salesman. I have asked Guy to take any information, pictures and video of us, our equipment and our farm off of his website and YouTube as we no longer wished to be connected with falsely advertised products, far-fetched theories and habitually inaccurate yield data.
With that said we can get to the fun stuff. I do have an very good engineer and manufacturing company working with us on some other new larger and more efficient farm equipment. He and his group are capable of building what ever you want, big or small. The track carriers with strip tiller weigh in at 48,000 pounds empty. They have three point hitches built in that came off of the 9630T's we use to pull them. They hold 2525 water gallons in each of the two NH3 tanks which makes them legal to nurse in the state of KS with a bulk semi trailer. They have 4 - 660 gallon stainless steel tanks on them. The 8" ball hitch that connects the tractor to the machine is copied off a large pan scraper. The compaction when fully loaded with fertilizer and with a 16 row 30" Orthman One Tripper under the belly is only 4.81 psi, and that's including the 6500lbs we usually keep on the tongue of the tractor. The tanks slide 8 feet forward and back to balance the load balanced on the cart and tongue of the tractor. We built in a rear hitch to pull and air seeder, planter or a pull type fertilizer bar if we ever decided to go bigger than a 16 row strip till bar. With a 9630T pulling the machine we could go 7mph fully loaded with fuel, fertilizer and with a 16 row one tripper in the ground the depth of a large set of channel lock brand regular pliers (that is flat black ground. Keith Silt Loam to be exact). Fertilizer refills take about 15 minutes. FYI there isn't much proof reading going on this post this morning. Everyone have a great day.
