NE Iowa | I found that making a dry run didn't make it any easier to pull. Of course I only had singles and it seemed like the loss of traction from having loosened ground was more of a hindrance than a gain. Having duels it might be a different story. Are you going to use 250' rolls or big rolls? Make sure you use internal couplers, tape them, slow down when you come to them, and have a guy on the ground "stuffing" the coupled area down the tube. 4" tile doesn't have much room to spare. I put in 20,000' with just a borrowed tractor and my 73 year old father in about 3 days last fall. Thought my plow would be semi-retired but neighbor wants me to put in another 20,000' for him this fall. I owe him a lot of favors and we will use his tractor so no money will change hands. | |
