Subject: World Ag Expo - Tulare CA

I'll be in California for World Ag Expo in Tulare mid-February.  I will be at the show all 3 days, and have to be in Salinas on the Monday before the show.  I was thinking of flying in early (on the previous Saturday) and leave the following Sunday, via SFO.

Any good suggestions of places to visit before and after?  Ag and non-ag.  I was hoping to see some of the veggie operations, but I hear they are still working in Yuma and Imperial Co.  Will I see much field work going on in the Central and Salinas Valleys?

How about driving up the Pacific Coast Highway from say San Luis Obispo back to San Francisco?  Is the sight worth it?  Or should I head east to the Sierra?

TIA
