Keep it simple, stupid. My motto for myself. Not calling anybody stupid.
But I feel like if I have revenue insurance, I can sell the futures, and not worry about an option. Sure, I could be giving up a bunch of profit on a summer rally, but with a call you are either going to pay a very high premium for an at the money, or waste a dime on one that will more than likely expire worthless.
