| Pretty sure there was a premium to do this, I like to figure the net cost not just what it "could" have made me. Puts worked very well if you bought them a year ago. Maybe its just me but I get tired of writing checks for insurance, its a major expense on my tax report anymore. Sometimes the expense of the insurance company's puts are very expensive compared to doing it yourself. What ever works but a lot of people just like to hit the easy button, that is usually the expensive button IMO. Still not totally convinced this thing is dead, had 3 grain buyers in my shop yesterday with basically the same message. Sell it now it's only going lower, its a long time till my combine rolls. I have no desire to sell cash corn at this time. | |
