I have rented them a couple of times.  Just be careful with the location.  The first cabin I rented was a very fancy cabin, but it was on the top of a mountain.  Several hairpin curves with bad drop offs to reach it. With a  little bad weather a fellow could be stranded.  The last cabin was right on the edge of town in a good location.  These were both right out of Pigeon Forge.
