A classic.

You know, it's funny. My dad farmed probably fourty years without ever using futures. Without ever using options. Without ever borrowing money. Without ever buying a common stock. Yet he raised 6 kids, bought farm land, and had a very satisfying life by his own admission.

Yet if someone wants to hold grain and not sell ahead, not use options, not use futures, not "play" the market, it is almost like we are considered completely delusional.

Changing times. And not for the better, in my opinion.
