I'm saying that if this nongmo catches on... Who cares. Better than gov regulation. There will be a time where the premium (I think it's there already) will create more dollars for nongmo. Hence I plant it. I could care less about nongmo vs gmo. I plant what calculates out to the best return on my dollar.
Now if the nongmo soy catches on there are still some acres I wouldn't plant to nongmo soy because of the type of weeds in that field. Then no matter what the premium I would be better planting rr beans because no weed control means 10 bu less.
Free market. They might be wrong but they are free to be wrong and bid for beef or corn at a higher price. | |
