You did not hear that from any of the big names in market services land.
RIGHT NOW are there TOO MANY "Jon's" of the country holding corn locked away in the bin's and the commercials DO NOT have enough corn sitting waiting to ship in exportable positions ? ? ? Ice/snow/cold on the river systems out east ARE NOT helping this... Crude oil moving by rail IS NOT helping this... This is not a plus for basis in some areas...
Funds -77k as of Christmas Eve. My guess right now is -60k + or -
Trouble is funds HAVE lightened up on their shorts from late October @ -135k and the corn has still traded lower. IMO this is hedge pressure.
We also gotta keep in the back of our heads,,,,, crude lost 6.36 in the last ***"short"*** week.
