If you only spray in front of the planter and get rain before you plant, you might do fine.  I would say that it is a matter of time before you have a problem because there will be that year that you don't get enough rain and your row cleaners have moved the herbicide off to the side.  I have seen it several times over the years and sometimes it was a real mess.
