You can run it on a PDA style phone so long as the operating platform is Windows CE 5.0 or above. Not sure what the performance would be like though and I am not sure how easy it would be to connect an external GPS as most come with a 9 pin connector. I guess it might be possible to do it via Bluetooth though?
