I would say short the board and short the bin means you took some profits out and if the market goes up you will be in great shape.If the market goes down you are better off then if you were not short. If you are long the bin and long the futures and also planning on growing more next year then you are really at risk if the market goes against you. I would much rather be short and if I am wrong then my land and machinery go up in value as to being short and having the market go against me and then having my land values and machinery values also working againt me.
