Subject: RE: aaaahhhh the good old days

East Central South Dakota
Kid growing up we raised hogs, fed cattle and mostly buried sheep. Minus 15 for two weeks here, remember the frozen waterers, covering broken machinery with tarps and working underneath with an appropriately named " trouble light" with a knipco mostly effixiating you. Age hasn't made the memories so appealing I would want to go backwards and relive it, but the memories do become more precious when I think of working next to my dad trying to save something that my family homesteaded before SD was even a state. That type of farm work does bring a strange smile to your face when remembering things my boys will likely not experience so there are lessons lost in quality of life advancement.
