Subject: RE: Correction..........

We are using cell phones in place of radios to transmit the RTK correction signal.  That is common place in the survey industry.  I have not done any work with satellite phones.  I would be worried about latency issues with a satellite phone.

How do you do that? Where can I learn more about this? It seems like you could get a lot better reception in some areas by doing this. Is there a way you can have it go off the radio when you have poor cell signal and off the cell when you have poor radio signal? I can imagine having good line of sight and poor cell reception in some areas around here and in other areas having poor line of sight but good cell reception. Thanks.
