Deere knife rolls are about the same money if you don't already have their knife rolls, or if your spirals are worn out. You would need the barrel as well as blades, plus 30$/ row of fasteners. Just new blades for the Deere rolls were right around $630/ row when I checked this year.

Not saying that Calmer isn't overpriced, just that they have some justification for asking $1100/ row when compared to the total cost of the Deere setup, since you get a "complete" stalk roll for that price.

I think the Clarke Case IH conversion would be the clear way to go. $865/ row for everything, and to replace the blades it is only $100/ row.
