Western CO | I'd look for something with a core 2 duo -- around 2 Ghz, 2Gb of ram, 160 Gb hard disk or so, DVD-R. You can go less and get it cheaper but it will be obsolete a little quicker. If this is a stand alone new machine I wouldn't even be afraid of Vista, there are some nice features and it sounds like for what she would be doing it would be ok. My wife just got a Toshiba for her work that is all of the above and a 17" screen. It's sort of a beast but the big screen is nice. | |
