But there is a big difference between $9000 and $13,000, almost half again as much. We also don't know anything about the "Big Farmer" who paid $13,000. Around here there is more than one, several Mega-dairys completely owned by the banks who came to own them when the former owners borrowed and spent too much. I rather suspect the banks don't charge themselves interest and are really only interested in getting their money back.
Now, these professional managers who manage these Mega-dairys can be real bullies when it comes to buying or renting land because they don't need to worry about making it pay. |
