But our land rents are way, way less as well. If you know you're going to lose sometimes it is better "just to fold", plant a clover cover crop, grow some nitrogen, pay a little land rent and save the all the effort. You have to look at the land rent as just "buying next year's nitrogen early", "prepaid" so-to-speak. |
