we have j m 750 as well , running on 7200R which works fine but i don't really need the size or weight of the 7R to run planter or to spray , big savings going down to 6r from 7r . was just throwing the idea round in my head , reall only need 170 hp for 12 row and sprayer , the 7r is alot bigger than the 7810 it replaced two years ago.

What about the 6190R?

You would get a little more ponies and get the cat 3 drawbar...that would be perfect for the buggy.

Those 6.8L motors are a great motor...good on fuel too.

The 6190R would be right at the same hp as the 7810 as well.

looked at that last time , seems to be big price differance from 6170 to 6190 , the 6190 is so closely priced to small 7r not worth stepping away from 7R, or least last deal that seemed the case.
