I guess I wouldn't worry.
Never knew why people would take tension off of springs, but I suppose they could loose some spunk. I would not even worry about such things. That head will wear those springs out more using them than sitting tensioned idle all winter. I don't know about you, but I just don't have the time to even worry about something like that. Million things I need to do before wrenching on springs over and over.
