Yes, deer damage in wheat will be less in bearded wheat. We don't raise any wheat at this time; but when we did, we had switched to all bearded wheat because of the deer problem we have. I remember one year we had a field with bearded wheat next to the woods and non-bearded wheat beyond the bearded wheat. The deer would walk through the bearded wheat to get to the non-bearded wheat.
