Great White North
Our farm is 120 years in the family. However in the 30s great granddad sold the farm for a period of 3 years and bought it back. So on paper we have only had the farm in the same family for 80 some years. No one really knows why he sold it, Dad never asked grandad before he passed. We figure they were hard up in the 30s and sold it on paper but still worked the land and bought it back when times got better. Or my theory is it was a poker game and he got caught bluffing, lol. So we have to wait a couple more years to get a fancy Century Farm sign.
