Jesup, IA
I have run about 400 acres in Black Hawk Co IA. Mostly lighter ground where the stalks got canabalized to fill the ear in August/Sept heat and early dry. APH on these fields 171. Actual harvest is 141 bu, 53 TW, 26% (range 23% - 29%) Have been shipping it all to catch early basis, but have just a little more to do and then the rest of the corn is still much wetter. Some still has a ways to go to black layer and it's still pretty dry here.

In some fields we have tried it but the grain was too wet, the corn is closer to APH, but the top end is just is not there for us this year. If I were to guess I'd say my area, just to the SE of the heavy PP plant area in Iowa will be 85% of APH. There will be 200 bpa in test plots and some select fields, but not enough to offset the 135 bpa corn here in NE IA.
