Southwest OK

These heifers should start in two weeks so I am starting the nightly feeding routine now. They will be put in a bare trap during the day and put back out on this stock piled native grass at night. Much cheaper and easier than hay. Heifers are much fatter than I would like but they have had nothing but native grass and mineral since early March. 63 head on 75 acres so they should have run out of groceries and been leaner. Amazing how much difference just a little rain can make.
