| I remember in 2009 sitting in my bow stand as the sun came up on OCT 1. I had grass green beans that were not ready for frost...according to the local station it hit a low of 31 degrees that night...The smell of silage was in the air by ten oclock and those green beans were black by noon. MOst of the beans eventually turned yellow...but probably lost 8 to 10 bushel off the top that were not developed...FWIW...shiawasse county Michigan. | |
