Washington Co Ks
I've had five or six guys ask me to keep them in mind whenever I decided to quit. The first time it took me by surprise and I didn't quite know how to take it. Part of the trouble was that the guy wanted to rent a place that I had been renting for over twenty years and he thought I owned. I also felt that he was telling me that I was getting to old to farm. I got over it soon and we are now good friends but I mention this to just say be a little careful and be informed. Some of the guys that have talked to me are interested in some of the ground that I rent and have asked me to put in a good word for them whenever I decide to slow down or quit. I appreciate that they came to me rather than trying to rent it out from under me but I also feel a little like I'm being put in the middle. This post probably doesn't help much but it is just some of my thoughts.
