| Feed costs are coming down, but older buildings that don't convert feed to gain very well are not getting rented and newer buildings are going up (more or less replacement). Low interest rates makes the timing right, but it's not to grow many more pigs than before. Hog manure is a good fertilizer, but it is far far far from free. High grain prices make it much easier especially if you have it custom done ($60/acre and you may still need a little commercial fert). It's a lot of time and equipment. | |
