Central MN | Gcat we also have a small herd less than 20 cows but doesn't mean all small herds do a poor job. We finish our calves and sell to the local salesbarn. We just ran our first fats from that bull through the barn last week and topped the sale with them except for one white heifer. The biggest reason we don't use a char bull around here is because no matter what it is almost an instant 5 cent dock on price. We haven't had experience using Hereford or simmi bull because never seen one of good quality around here not saying I would never use one because I know there are good animals in most every breed. We have just had better luck from our lim-flex bull than the angus we used to use in the past. | |
