IL | Not real sure of the regulations from state to state. I eat lunch with a few different timber buyers and tree cutters and it is my understanding that in Illinois you need a harvesters license if you plan on selling the logs to a mill. Some timber buyers won't buy timber that's already on the ground because it puts their cutters out of work for a few days. Rest assured, if you have walnut they will all jump at it. | |
