I don't get what everyones problem was with the alloy bearings. We had the wood ones in ours for 10 years and the alloys in for 11, and they didn't need to be replaced yet when we got rid of the combine. Replaced cranks when we went from wood to alloy. Good grease gun makes those alloys last a long time.
