Subject: 2388 A/C working intermittently

Colorado

Last fall the a/c started acting up. The light on the side post comes on as soon as the key is turned on (before the engine is stated).

Shouldn’t the system reset and turn the light off when the combine is shut down and restated?

I install a jumper wire to engage the pump, low side is running about 30psi and cools well with jumper installed. Have tried jumping both the low and high pressure switches (one under buddy seat and one on the line close to the pump), the light remains on.

Occasionally switching the mode switch from A to heat and back to A again will reset the system and it will function the rest of the day.

What is going on?
