When we put up a building one year we had to clear a field of beans that were atleast 3 months from harvest. So instead of baling them we swathed and chopped the next day... Never did samples but it seemed to feed just as good as silage? Maybe soybean hay isn't as good as beanlage or whatever you want to call it?
