Did you unplug the cam sensor with the engine RUNNING like jdswmn said to do? If the engine dies its the crank sensor. If it doesn't its something else. We had this problem on our 6610 with the auto knife sharpener not wanting to work. It ended up being a circuit board. Dont remember which one though.
