53916 | One tractor here came to the farm in the 90's with cracked out face and sidewalls on the rears. One is a goodyear dyna torque 2. Other is an Armstrong that looks similar. Both are bias. Both were about 35% then... 15% tread now. Both still on that tractor. But that's "old goodyear". From when quality meant something. Big machine here from '89-'11 came with 3400 hrs and maybe 80% dyna torque radials. Sidewalls were shredded when they were replaced around 30% tread and at a rough guess 7000 hours on the clock. Work ranged from hay wagons to chopper to 5-18" moldboard to ten shank chisel to manure spreader. Firestone radial 23* replacements lasted beyond narrowing it up for planter/sprayer tractor. They are now awaiting the bigger tractor needing new rears.
Old goodyears were better than the examples we are seeing now.
