strip limit their grazing, rain would sure help but it isn't here.  If you had waited till Oct and turned them in you would trample allot of feed, isn't really a waste as it goes on soil but still lost feed.  A bale of hay might help unless they can get dry matter from the pasture.

Yes rye will regrow if rain comes and the post will be hard to get into the ground.  Might invest in a rubber mallet hope you have the O'Brien style of post, Gallagher's don't drive so well.  Put your foot on the post and drive at the same time.

Wish we had done something the first of July but was waiting on grass seed.  Long term forecast looks like I wasted a few thousand dollars.  Ben
