Northeast Missouri | Probably depends most on how you feed it--give the cattle access to other hay too, so they're not forced to something bad. Whenever I start something that may be "too weedy" I have other decent-quality hay out.
I cut some drought sorghum sudan last week that had heavy smartweed (Pennsylvania) in part of the field. I kept those bales together when hauling & wrapped them at one end of my row of baleage bales. Also, like always I spray-paint on the wrap (cutting date, crop, and any notes, like "weedy" or "?too wet?") so I can know where those bales are when I get to feeding them.
