Why was she late, if the cow was supposed to breed with your other cows and didn't your not gaining any thing by keeping a late heifer as a replacement.
I would send the pair to town whenever you get the bunch up for weaning.
I would also leave them on the cows for another 3-4 months unless your out of grass, if the cow can't get in condition for calving in a 3 month rest she is not much of a cow.
