McLeod County, MN | I have a hard time figuring out how they quantify good-to excellent beans and poor to very poor ones. At least corn if you drive by a field you can get a pretty good idea of whats going on. Beans on the other hand are the exact opposite. The crappiest looking beans I ever had (last year) were by far and away the best I ever planted. On the other hand I had beans that looked fantastic and only made 40 BPA.
I think we have far less pods in Iowa and MN and the surrounding area than most think. I have seen a lot of bean fields in the area go completely backwards since Saturday. Have also seen a few where SDS is showing up. | |
