E.Central MN | From what I've heard over the years, its a small cobbled together plant that went broke several years ago. I wouldn't exactly compare it to the rest of the ethanol plants. South central coop bought the elevator and there was talk about scrapping the e-plant out. Some investors tried starting it back up again thinking corn prices were coming down last year, but that didn't happen and the plant was shut down again. It takes deep pockets and efficient plants to weather the volatility in the market. | |
