There is cold air in the north. The high pressure ridge is holding it back. When the ridge breaks down things will get interesting. At the moment no true way to forecast the result within a couple degrees.
Put it this way. I ran the ac in my house all night. My father that lives 500 miles to the north had a fire burning to keep warm.
