| we've already got some corn priced, with the way it's going backwards I am not about to price anymore until it's in the bin.
got a few soys priced but if it stays dry for 10 days or more as our forecast says, I won't even have enough to cover them.
This makes 4 years in a row for us. Corn in the 30's last year, beans just over 10, even with insurance that doesn't go far.
Our forecast is for hot and dry for next 2 weeks, no rain in sight according to the local station I think is the best in KC. If that happens it will toast most of the beans around here. Corn will be lighter and will lose a good chunk of weight, running short of moisture as the milk layer starts down really seems to hurt it. | |
