He was out feeding hay to his beef cows and one of the old cows turned back to the willow brush.  She was acting strange so he went to have a closer look.  Suddenly, a little red calf jumped up and wobbled over to momma!  This cow calved on March 30th last year, she would have had to been bred on 4/18 or so to calve now.  He know the bull was out but wasn't worried that anything would be in heat.

Glad the calf made it, it was close to -30 when the it was born.  tough little girl, dought she will have any ears though. ;^)
