Jesup, IA | Let's just remember the USDA gets to print the number. So that always makes them "right".
Would you rather know what's out there by a year-to-year consistent, independent sampling method of where 80% of the corn is grown? Or the USDA's black box? I'm glad Pro Farmer doesn't just play "pin the tail on the USDA."
I think there has been a paradigm shift at NASS where they no longer start the season projecting a likely crop, but rather, they project the "potential" crop if it all goes right.
