Subject: My crop tour from Moorhead, MN area to Mankato

Clay county, MN
Hauled a load of soybeans from Ulen MN to Mankato MN today. Round trip is 590 miles from west central to southeast MN. The crop around me looks good and has a lot of potential but needs rain this week with the heat we're getting. The stuff along I-94 from Fergus Falls to St. cloud is starting to go backwards. Those of yu not familiar with MN this is the central part of the state and in general lighter soil. On way down I exited 94 just east of Sauk Centre and took MN-4 South to MN-7 and took that east to Hutchinson. Then went south to New Ulm then east to Mankato. The crops on that stretch looked really good, especially the corn. Soys looked a little short but most of the 30" rows were
closed and only looked stressed on the hilltops. The way back I took MN-22 to Hutchinson then 15went north to St. Cloud
